Fire Shock With Me S2E01
We’re Not Gonna Talk About the Leland Hair Thing?
In July of 2024, Cinema Shock began a series of episodes deep diving into the filmography of David Lynch. But no discussion of Lynch’s work and career is complete without including his most widely seen project, Twin Peaks, the TV series he co-created with Mark Frost, which originally aired on ABC for two seasons in 1990 and 1991.
In this bonus series, available exclusively to members of CinemaShock+, we’re watching through Twin Peaks in its entirety. All three hosts have varying degrees of exposure to the series, with Todd Davis being a first-time viewer. So this series is designed not only for seasoned Twin Peaks fans, but also for those watching for the first time. There will be no spoilers for future episodes — only for the ones being discussed.
In this episode of Fire Shock With Me, we begin our journey into Season 2 by discussing “May the Giant Be With You.” The second season opens with a bleeding FBI agent, cryptic riddles from a mysterious Giant, Ronette’s awakening, Leland’s shocking transformation, and the sense that things in Twin Peaks are about to get much, much weirder.
